December 2006 Dear Davenport Customer, Last week my wife and I attended a brunch with members of our Sunday School Class and enjoyed hearing a young pianist who included a classical selection followed by traditional Christmas carols. He read “I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day”. The message made me pause to think about those who may have encountered stress, pain and seem to have lost peace. Allow me, please, to share these comforting words with you; I heard the bells on Christmas day Their old familiar carols play, And wild and sweet the words repeat Of peace on earth, good-will to men. I thought how, as the day had come The belfries of all Christendom Had rolled a long the unbroken song Of peace on earth, good will to men.
